Captain Ready

USCG-Accepted CPR & First Aid Certification for Boat Captains & the Marine Industry

Captain Ready Training

Are You Captain Ready?

Finish Strong CPR offers the Treasure Coast's only CPR & First Aid program built specifically for Florida's marine industry. Whether you are applying for your OUPV/Six-Pack, Master, or Merchant Mariner Credential, we provide exactly what the National Maritime Center (NMC) requires in one efficient class.

The USCG Compliance Picture

Applicants for original Officer Endorsements must present BOTH of the following to the National Maritime Center:

  • Requirement 1 - CPR: A valid CPR card from a nationally recognized provider (AHA (American Heart Association), Red Cross, ASHI).
  • Requirement 2 - First Aid: Certificate of completion from a USCG-accepted First Aid course completed within the last 12 months - with the correct USCG course code.

The AHA (American Heart Association) Heartsaver First Aid with CPR AED course (USCG course code AMERHA-216) satisfies both requirements in a single class. Captain Ready uses this exact curriculum.

COMMON MISTAKE: A standard AHA (American Heart Association) BLS or CPR/AED card alone does NOT satisfy the First Aid requirement. Many applicants arrive at the NMC with only a CPR card and get rejected. Captain Ready issues the correct certificate with the USCG course code AMERHA-216.
