Why Become an Instructor?
Becoming an American Heart Association (American Heart Association) Instructor allows you to teach others the
life-saving skills of CPR,
AED use, and First Aid. It's a rewarding way to give back to your community while also opening
up new career opportunities.
Prerequisites
- Current Provider Card (in the discipline you wish to teach)
- Completed Instructor Essentials Online Course
- Proficiency in all skills
Steps to Certification
- Be accepted by an AHA (American Heart Association) Training Center (like Finish Strong CPR).
- Complete the Instructor Essentials Online Course.
- Attend the In-Person Instructor Course.
- Be monitored teaching your first class.
